NE Sandy & 40th, 1952

You could get it all along Northeast Sandy Blvd in the Hollywood district in 1952; stop in at the bank for some cash, then shop for jewelry, cameras, and even gowns, then treat yourself to an ice cream. If you still had energy left, you could get some exercise  at the YMCA.

SW Stark Street, 1949

This view of SW Stark Street is looking east between 6th (to our backs) and 5th Avenues. Traffic is one way these days and the Loeb Building is now a parking lot (and a food cart nexus).
