The Portland Archives & Records Center is closed until the Mayor re-opens city facilities. Since we are all working from home, we can’t work on anything involving the physical historical collections. But we are working on the things we can do with access to Efiles, and other electronic records. Luckily Vintage Portland is something we can continue even while we are away from the Archives!

I want to encourage to the Vintage Portland community to keep in contact during this time of social distancing. In addition to posting images, I’d like to try something new to see just how observant you all are. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I will post a small portion of an earlier posted photo, accompanied by one clue. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to identify what photo the snippet comes from and post in the comments the date of the original post. Once there is a winning identification, I’ll post the full image. The post will get more difficult as the week progresses. This is all for fun, conversation, and bragging rights!
