  1. Looks like the penstocks were already installed ( I think that’s what’s that is anyhow.) Good decision. Power production there didn’t start till much later. .

  2. looks like the darkroom tech discovered ‘solarization’ a few years before man ray! actually, his fellow artist lee miller made the discovery… or, rather, re-discovery, as it was known as early as 1860 that turning on a light in the darkroom would cause this effect.

  3. “Solarization” huh? I just thought the film was over exposed and (or) couldn’t handle the bright sun (sharp contrast) in this shot.
    Makes my low back hurt just looking at the position these guys worked in.
