  1. Interesting. I didn’t know that the US Outdoor Store used to be on the corner of Burnside and Broadway. It’s now a block South of there on Broadway.

  2. This photo taken before Portland’s great “street leveling” project whereby Broadway and nearby buildings were corrected for a 10 degree slant toward the Willamette.

  3. @Mike Siebert. Yup, so much better when it was Stumptown.

    I see I’m going to have to change my name again. I was Steve till someone else started posting using that name. I then changed to Steven but now someone else wants to grab that too. Let’s see if I can hold onto this one for a while.

  4. The 7 UP signs and pictures were on that corner until the early 1980s. That was about the same time the Jesus The Light of the World sign was taken down.
