  1. Never mind, I rotated it and it’s mostly trees, it just seem the ‘front of the building should be eh ‘showy’ side not the garages, but the arches are nice.

  2. And so is the unusual-looking apartment house which can be seen so prominently down the street in the 1941 photo. It’s still there too. Although on closer inspection it looks like its windows have been changed, though the roof lines remain the same. Neat old neighborhood.

  3. Surprisingly, it looks like the garage doors were never replaced over all these years. But the garage windows have been painted over.
