  1. What’s interesting to me is how the setback has changed. In the 1951 photo we’ve got what looks like an 8′ sidewalk with a 6″ curb strip. If the poles haven’t moved, then what’s happened since is that the sidewalk lost two feet on one side, and the curb moved two feet over on the other so there’s now a 4′ curb strip.

    That’s a lot of readjustment. I wonder what prompted the change.

  2. That is a Buffalo Springfield roller. A few years later, it would occur to some gentlemen to pick up that name for their band.
