  1. One of my favorite childhood memories when I was 10 years old-skateboarding from this point toward Market Street. I never told my Mom.

  2. Before the glassed in bump-out was created on the Broadway side of the school there was what looked like a concrete plinth (if you look at the earliest views on Google street view, you can see it). Was this possibly a plinth for a statue of Lincoln (likely not the South Park Block Lincoln statue which post-dates the school)?

    Before the remodel of Roosevelt High School there was another similar concrete plinth near the entrance to the old auditorium. Did every Portland High School used to have statues of the Presidents and Forefathers for which they were named, a la Franklin High?
