  1. Based on that rather permanent looking sign on the right that says ” Drive Slow water on pavement” this must have happened a lot. I wonder if they raised a dike when they built the Guilds lake war time housing project or just added more fill or pumped the water out when they built that project.

  2. that is an insane snag at upper right – imagine the whole horizon covered with trees that size and larger! i wonder how it escaped logging… inaccessible, perhaps?

  3. that had occurred to me elliott – and there is another one in to the left. they both have some limbs on and just look dead. but those areas were still being logged just a few years before this picture, so could be. any old-timers remember spars still standing in forest park?
