  1. I do not see where this park/playground was located. I moved to Portland in 1977 and I was under the impression that this was the park across from Emanuel Hospital near Vancouver and Williams Ave. I see it is now located between Fremont and Skidmore. I believe I met the structural engineer who designed the column that failed and caused the child’s death. This horrible accident also effected his life in a tragic direction. While at the University of Oregon I met Denorval Unthank’s son who was a Professor of Architecture and also his grandson who was a student at the time.
