  1. I bet that Italian Swiss colony driver had a nice little run on Burnside starting on about 2nd.st.selling fortified wine.

  2. OMG! That Jaguar XKE 2×2 and its driver looks exactly like a friend of mine and his car. And in that era he would have easily been in that exact spot driving as Monte Shelton/BMC was nearby. And the car was always in the shop for “something”…

  3. I stayed a few months at the Campbell Hill Hotel, about 3 blocks west of here, when I first arrived in Portland in June of 1964. There was and still is a big Chevron on Burnside at 22nd place. Why was there another at 20th?
