  1. Portland as I remember it. The young lady is properly dressed for “going downtown”, with her hat and gloves.

  2. Check out all of the litter in the street gutter. You see the same thing today. Sad how some things never change.

  3. Looks to be on the corner of Alder & Broadway. The old clock is still there but the building is now Kassab Jewelers. So glad to see them preserve and maintain history such as that clock.

    I remember Portland as an extremely clean city with street sweepers running around the clock. Most people, perhaps as high as 90%, realize that dumping garbage out of your car or dropping it out of your hand into the street is stupid. And unfortunately, in the words of Ron Fox, “You can’t fix stupid”!
