Sweet little late 40’s Studebaker parked on the island.
Steve Sharp: You seem to know your cars, so can you tell me what that truck is that is parked in the weeds near the trees in the left side of the photo? Thanks.
Kinda hard to tell, Paul, but I’d guess a ’48 International.
1951 was the last time McLaughlin had so little traffic.
Photo taken from the Bybee overpass, no doubt.
And we still drive on that today, just a few inches of pavement above most of it.
I remember this as the most attractive highway into the city on the Eastside. Very unlike 82nd Ave. or Sandy Blvd.
