  1. Here’s a much later view a couple of blocks up the street. The Allen Music Store is mostly hidden by an adjacent building in this photograph. In the linked1973 photo, you can see ghost remnants of that building still attached to the Allen Music Store.

  2. I lived in this building during the 50s-60s (NW corner). That’s my fire escape on the second floor. Thanks for the photo. Great find.

  3. Rather than make you good folks search for the proper link in a comment section full of links (though that comment section was fun and informative), here’s the same approximate view in 1976. Joan’s building is to the immediate left and was still a survivor up to that time.
