Multnomah Block, 1943

We had previously seen the Multnomah Block from the other side, along SW Morrison Street, after the building suffered a 1941 fire. This photo, taken the same day, is of the opposite side. We look west on Burnside from NW 19th Ave. The Kingston Hotel is visible in the distance.

Skirts were apparently short in 1943!

Anybody know the name of the laundry?

  2. Roxanne Says:

I notice the file name calls this the Multnomah Block rather than Morrison……….

  3. Roxanne Says:

I actually HAD a boucle suit….boy was that a long time ago.

Roxanne – What a glaring mistake on my part. I know better than to do these in the morning before I’ve had enough coffee but somehow I never seem to learn. Thanks for the sharp eye!
