SW Broadway, 1965

SW Broadway is all dressed up for Christmas in this 1965 photo looking south at SW Morrison Street. I’m sure it looked much more festive at night.

It did look great at night. Especially with the lights of the old movie palaces lit up. Really wish those theaters were still in business.

I miss the old signage, before the city relations and codes made all the signs look alike.

You can see the old YMCA behind the Jackson Tower and the castle up on the hill.
